Of the 17,159 citizens living in Franklin County in 2021, 76.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 13,166 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 6,384 were male, constituting 48.5%, and 6,782 were female, making up 51.5%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Franklin County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.5%.
